Lena and I visited Saylorville, several wetlands to the west of there, and at
least 5 playgrounds today and managed to see ~80 species. We found 18 species
of waterfowl, 10 species of shorebirds (including a couple of flocks of
American Golden-Plover and a Hudsonian Godwit), 2 Sandhill Cranes, 2 Great
Horned Owls on nests with young, two small flocks of Brewer's Blackbirds, and
several other FOYs.
