Today we found two Piping Plovers at the north pool of the Mid-American ponds in Pottawattamie County. There were also eight American Avocets at that location.

In Mills County, as previously described by Keith Dyche, the six White-faced Ibis and one Glossy Ibis were still present, along with four American Avocets. This is an excellent wetland. The directions to it, quoted from Keith's report are: "The area is bordered on the south side by Nellen Road, Marh Ave on the north side and 215th St. on the east side. From Bartlett take L31 north to Paddock Ave. turn right, go east to Painter Road, turn left (north), Nellen Rd is about 2 miles to the north of Paddock Ave. The Ibis were feeding in the wetland just off the north side of Nellen Rd."

At Forney Lake in Fremont County, we finally spotted the two Mottled Ducks. We did not find the Cinnamon Teal, nor the Neotropic Cormorants.
