Bonaparte's Gulls were an easy find today at the end of John Deere Dike
north of Dubuque, as were lingering Buffleheads, Lesser Scaup, Ruddy
Ducks, Northern Shovelers, and both teal spp. The impounded wetlands held
lots of Pectoral Sandpipers, both yellowlegs spp., and Wilson's Snipe.
