This morning, while walking the west end of Swan Lake (located in Swan
Lake State Park, just 3 miles south of Carroll), I spotted a White-Faced
Ibis. He was beautiful and absolutely unmistakable. I accidentally flushed
him, but luckily, he flew to another spot where I could see him quite
well. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and had to rush home, so I couldn't
stay and observe. I'll be heading back out to the lake in just a bit, so
hopefully he'll still be around. If so, I'll be sure to let my fellow
birders know!

Happy Birding!
