At Big Ditch off county highway 99 in Des Moines County there was a Snowy Egret. Yesterday at the Amtrak station in Ft Madison (Lee County) there were several Stilt Sandpipers in basic plumage. If you have the time, what is believed to be a White-crested Elaenia is in Douglas Park off I 290 in Chicago. It was present at 9:15 this AM (Sat.). I am told that this is the 2nd NA. record for this S. American Species. Chuck Fuller Burlington
