We were surprised to have 2 FOY Barn Swallows on the acreage yesterday
evening! Glad to see them because the 2nd FOY was not a bird but Black
Flies!!! These are biting gnats or buffalo gnats to some of you...ugh!
Ouch!
Oh! And the 3rd FOY really caught my wife and I off guard...we had our
first of the year Monarch! Very faded and worn but as big as life!
Never have we seen one in April! What a strange year this is...we do
have milkweed up in the native pasture so at least part of the puzzle is
there and ready...
