Today while birding Swan Lake I saw two Willets. They were foraging and
rock-hopping along the western shoreline. When a boater scared them up, I
took notice of their striking wing and tail patterns and there was
absolutely no mistaking their identity. Other notable observations on and
around the lake today include Wilson's Snipe, Greater Yellowlegs, Lesser
Yellowlegs, Solitary Sandpiper, Killdeer, Marsh Wren, and Vesper Sparrow.
In the way of raptors, I spotted a Cooper's Hawk, an Osprey, a Northern
Harrier, and a sub-adult Bald Eagle.

Happy Birding To All!
