On April 10 I reported a nest with 5 chickadee eggs and 4 bluebird eggs
in a bluebird nest on top of a chickadee nest. On April 18 a bluebird was
incubating all 9 eggs. On April 26 both male & female bluebirds were on
the nest, but there were no eggs and the nest was somewhat flattened. I
saw no evidence of raccoon, snake,or house wren interference. Today the
nest had been rebuilt back to its bowl shape with 2 bluebird eggs. Do you
suppose the bluebirds took care of the nest sharing by throwing the whole
clutch out & starting over? If a varmint had been there I think the
bluebirds would have abandoned the site.

In addition, I saw & heard a yellow throated vireo at both Yellow Banks
County Park & at Adelphi (ghost town, section 30 Camp Twp), & heard a
summer tanager at Yellow Banks (regularly there every year).
