Today after the rain the marsh lacked shorebird habitat
except for the northwest corner along V Ave. There I spotted
1 WILLET, 3 Stilt Sandpipers and Long-billed Dowitchers.
Walking the dike, an AMERICAN BITTERN flushed and its slow
flight gave me a good look. Soras were vocal and I saw both
Marsh Wren and Sedge Wrens. Sandhill Cranes as usual.
