Hello Birders, Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge is celebrating International Migratory Bird Day and the Summer of Paddling this Saturday MAY 12th at its Keithsburg Division. The Keithsburg Division is mixture of bottomland forest and backwater sloughs adjacent to the Mississippi River and attracts a large diversity or migrating birds. Songbird banding will take place from 7-11am and guided paddling tours will occur at 8am and 10am. All activities will be based out of the Spring Slough (Keithsburg North) parking lot north of Keithsburg, Illinois.
