Stopped at McFarland Park after work for the first time this year, it was
pretty slow but did find 3 little semi hot spots that had an ok diversity
of Warblers and others. Most numerous bird was Swainsons Thrush by far,
they were pretty much everywhere! I was happy to get a few FOY's tonight
as well including a pair of Scarlet Tanagers. Other birds of note are as
follows.

Chestnut-sided Warbler - FOY
Palm Warbler - FOY
Wilsons Warbler - FOY
Blackpoll Warbler (most numerous warbler of the night surprisingly)
Black & White Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Tennessee Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
A. Redstart
Eastern Kingbird
Eastern Meadowlark
Warbling Vireo
Green Heron - FOY

Birds I was surprised I didn't see at the park that I always see this time
of year are Bluebirds, Indigo Buntings and Gnatcatchers. Two years ago I
would see a pair of Bluebirds about every 100 yards all through the park,
last year I only saw a couple pair through the entire park. This year none
so far, something seems odd about that...but I have no idea what the
reason would be behind it....just an observation I've had that I felt like
sharing.
