I do not know if this anything unusual, since we only began this birding
adventure last year.  Yesterday and today, we've had a female Indigo Bunting
come to our platform feeder.  I have to tell you my jaw about fell open when I
learned this.  At first we thought it a juvenile House Finch, but really it
just didn't seem right.  To us, it did look like something young.  I did a
mental checklist of what all could  have had babies but none of the young would
look like this.  I finally had to ask someone, who said it was a female Indigo.
Wow, really?  I thought they were hard to find.  We've not yet seen the male
this year.  We saw him only briefly the last couple Junes.

We saw our first of the year Baltimore Oriole yesterday.  Today, there were
three.  Two males and a female.  One of the males was caught eating the suet,
but then switched to the oranges.  We put up an oriole feeder with nectar, but
it is being used by hummingbirds.  We put up a hummingbird feeder Thursday, and
got our first Ruby-throated on Friday.

I didn't see any Tennessee Warblers today.  What a nice little guy.  We saw
them Friday and off and on until yesterday.  One used our bird bath a few
times. The Common Yellowthroat was driving me crazy.  I knew he was there, but
didn't actually see him until this morning.   He showed himself often to the
young ones, but he wanted me so suffer a sore neck for awhile.  :)  We did
enjoy the Yellow Warbler a couple different days.  What a treat!  I had been
hoping this year that we could add a couple to our short list of Warblers.  We
now have five.

Oh, birding is so much fun!
