I, too, went to the park yesterday and this morning with the winds down.
There were a number of Swainson's, Red-eyed and Blue-headed Vireos,
Flycatchers including the chebek of the Least, the pips of the
Yellow-bellied and surprisingly a single bird calling pizzup (the Acadian).
I could see it move around along the edge of the creek. There were a few
Redstarts, Yellow, a Chestnut-sided and a Bay-breasted. No Tennessee's this
way, either. Catbirds, Great-crested Flycatchers and Wood Pewee.

Last week I had Kentucky Warbler on a day when I had made the rounds and had
only seen Redstarts and was headed back to the car when a Kentucky started
to sing.

Two young Screech Owls have moved from the nest out into the trees in our
neighborhood.

Subject: [ia-bird] a sprinkling of warblers

The wind died down after the 5-6 AM thunderstorms, so a few migrants were
found grounded in Riverview Cemetery. A number of Swainson's, and single
Gray-cheeked and Veery, Red-eyed Vireos, Empid flycatchers, and Yellow
Warblers and Redstarts were spread all around. A crowd of birds in large
spruce trees included a male Blackburnian, a couple of Blackpolls, and a
Magnolia, but didn't include any Tennessees. Some time later at Smith Lake
and Call SP also came up completely short of Tennessee Warblers.
