Two days ago, I reported a possible Blue Grosbeak at Swan Lake SP in
Carroll County. Today, I was able to confirm that the bird I've been
hearing is indeed, a Blue Grosbeak. When I went to the park this morning,
I heard the songster warbling away in some trees just south of the Bald
Eagle display cage. After feeding the Eagles, I went to pinpoint the
source of the noise. Fortunately, I was able to locate the bird and
determine it to be a BG. The individual was partially silhouetted against
a dense backdrop of leaves and twigs, so my best guess it that the bird in
question is a young male.
