Birders

This AM, in conditions rapidly becoming like those in the interior of a Baldwin
Co. steam locomotive,
I surveyed BBA block 401 (Palo Marsh) in Linn County.  Among my observations;
confirmed nesting for Osprey (cellphone tower south of Palo at Covington/Yates
Rd.), and perhaps the rarest bird I've found in Iowa this year, Ring-necked
Pheasant (hen wth 5 chicks). 18 confirmed nesters + a new location for ECDO in
Linn Co.
