The majority of the "children" from the rookery seemed to be out and raising cain/exploring the "neighborhood" yesterday. We had been seeing a good deal of wing "exercising" from the nests high above the creek the past few days, while the "parents" stood out in an adjacent soy bean field resting their "nerves". Another successful year of GBH raising is about completed! Now the rest of the summer will be unstructured gadding about and frog catching near the pasture here. Sorry to see the rookery empty out but good to see the results!
