Well, birders, the AOU is at it again, reordering taxonomy and rendering our trusty field guides obsolete. Falcons are no longer placed with raptors and have instead been moved (with parrots) between woodpeckers and all the passerines. Actually, this makes sense, as I've long held the belief that a Gyrfalcon bears an uncanny resemblance to a Wrentit.
