We spent the day there yesterday. WE saw four whooping cranes a lifer for
us. The NWR is loaded with blue herons and sandhill cranes. Many species
of raptors eagles, osprey and several types of hawks. We also got some
great picture opportunities with the red headed woodpecker. What a fun
bird to watch. The Necedah NWR refuge is a wonderful place so many birds
to see well worth the drive
