We like to have something for everyone at our semi-annual meetings - from
beginners to expert birders alike.  You do not have to be a member to
register to participate.  The $20 registration fee covers everything but
meals and lodging for the weekend.  Here are some highlights and things to
remember for the weekend.

Friday social - 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Regency Inn
Nachos, fruit and snack trays provided by the IOU
# Bonus  6:30-7:00 - free wine and cheese reception by the Marshalltown
Chamber of Commerce
Cash Bar
Pick up maps and sign up for Saturday field trips

Saturday Morning
6:00 a.m. Breakfast at Regency - Tickets needed for this
7:00 a.m.  Field trip groups will gather and leave from the large open
parking lot north and across the street from the Regency Inn

Saturday Lunch - Pre-purchased box lunches will be delivered to the
Fischer Community Center at 12:45 to eat at your leisure inside or
outside.

Saturday afternoon and evening sessions - at the Fischer Center on the
river two miles north of the Regency across from the big HvVee
1:30 p.m. Gerald White - "Recording Birds 101" Gerald has achieved
interesting results in recording bird song and calls - he will share his
equipment and knowledge.

2:30 p.m. Our keynote speaker, Sheri Williamson  "Good Birders Birder's
Don't Wear White"
                We will hear again following  the banquet.

3:30 p.m. Ron Huelse  - A report on an IOU grant to the Gladys Black Eagle
Cam followed by some of Ron's well known wildlife photography

Plenty of time to bid on items at the popular silent auction.  Remember to
bring books and nature related items for this sale.

4:00 p.m. Short IOU general meeting

Saturday Evening 
6:30 p.m. Banquet buffet (pre-purchased)
7:30 p.m -ish Keynote Address by internationally known hummingbird expert
Sheri Williamson.
                "Hummingbirds,More Than Just Eye-Candy."  

Having Sheri with us is a big deal.  After reading some of her numerous
writings I would add that Sheri is "Much More Than Just Hummingbirds"  She
will have lots to share about birds, nature, and her home area of SE
Arizona.

Sunday: breakfast and field trips same as on Saturday
Sunday noon Lunch - The pizza buffet also includes salad and dressings.

Note that meals are pre-purchased.  I will be calling in the meal totals
to the caterer so he can order the food needed on Monday.  This is another
meeting you won't want to miss.  If you miss the deadlines and still want
to register and get meals let me know and we will work with you.
