Sorry, folks, when I send emails thru my phone they're short and I tend to
leave out details because I can't type well with one finger on the phone's tiny
keyboard! So I forgot to sign my full name and location to my first post this
morning. My apologies.

Addendum to this morning's birding:
I had 12 shorebirds species at Otter Creek Marsh, not 11 -- forgot to count
Spotted Sandpiper. Also, a small group of BLACK TERNS were flying over the pond
for a while.

Before going to Otter Creek (Tama County) I birded in Johnson County. At
Hawkeye Wildlife Area's Swan Lake, water levels are down and a few shorebirds
have returned. A SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER and an AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER were
present as well as the usual shorebirds we've been seeing for the last month.
My shorebird total for today ended up at 14 species.

I walked for a couple of hours at Kent Park (also Johnson County) but could
only come up with 3 warbler species  today -- Chestnut-sided, Nashville,
Redstart.
