Give the gift of your time and your passion for birding to a young person! Bring your child, grandchild, neighbor, or student to Young Birder Day 2012 in Iowa City on September 1.
Young Birder Day 2012 leaders are Jeffrey Gordon, President of the American Birding Association & Carl Bendorf, Executive Director of Iowa Young Birders. We will have a morning field trip for young birders and a special afternoon workshop including a live hawk and owl demonstration by the Macbride Raptor Center and a behind-the-scenes tour for young birders of the famous Bird Hall museum and bird skin collection at the University of Iowa. There is no cost for the morning field trip and the afternoon workshop is only $25 per young birder. All events are open to young birders age 8-18 and parents are encourage to attend (required for under age 12.) Advance registration is required by August 30.
