I was a little disappointed when I crossed the Des Moines River tonight and
failed to see the red flashing light on the top of the Iowa State fan helmet
that John was supposed to install on the Roseate Spoonbill.  Realizing that I
could not easily locate the bird without the flashing red light I skipped the
trip out to the deck of the lodge.

On second thought, John most likely did get the helmet attached but the
batteries failed.

GREAT find, John.

Hoping to see and along with a number of other birders at first light tomorrow
morning.  Sleep well.
God Bless,
