On the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids along the roller dam. Somewhat of a rare sight, I don't remember such a large # before, but I only go back as far as the pre-historic era. 12 White egrets, 3 osprey fishing, a belted KingFisher, and a sky full of Tree Swallows in pursuit. A slightly disturbing note is the Egrets (younger ones) were fishing and downing snagged lines on the rocks, so they were swallowing hooks with minnows, or lures. Photographic evidence linked below, with other passable images. You can clearly see lure going in and line in water, walked around with line hanging out the two hours I was there. Can they survive this?
