In about 25 minutes off and on, at least 75 Broad-winged Hawks, an adult Bald Eagle, an Osprey, and a dark Merlin soared over my house near 41st and University in Des Moines. All but the Merlin were flying high, fast, and south. The merlin was flying lower and heading northwest.
