Yesterday as I left Sioux City for Des Moines my vehicle would not allow me to
turn south but instead forced me north to O'Brien County to 470th just east of
Waterman.  Waiting from me on the top of a cedar was a single Townsend's
Solitaire.  I briefly played a tape to try to entice it to change positions for
a photo and a 2nd bird flew in.  What a treat.  Cedar Waxwings were all over in
groups of 30-35 and low an behold in the group as a Bohemian.  As I raised by
camera they all suddenly flew--I swear all the birds know me and do this just
to frustrate me.  I watched them land in the deciduous trees down in the valley
on the north side of the road. Yep, not one but two Bohemians--distance was 400
feet + but the photo clearly shows both of the Bohemians.  What a great and
pleasant day that was for me when my Malibu took control!  Finished off the day
by taking in a couple of band with Jay G.

God Bless,
