Went to Little Wall Lake in Hamilton County around noon today to check
waterfowl numbers, and as I watched from the comfort of my truck at the
dead end on the east side of the lake, a Northern Shrike landed in a bush
directly in front of me. Watched it for 5 minutes until it flew up the
shoreline to the north somewhere. Decent waterfowl numbers seen with nice
variety including Snow geese and a 4 pack of White-fronted Geese.

When I got back home I was treated to a nice increase in Pine Siskin
numbers. Went from 4 to 15..also have two Red-Breasted Nuthatches now, up
from one. No luck yet on any other northern birds, but i'm crossing my
fingers they find my little yard like the Redpolls did a few years back.
