Any species with three asterisks (***species***) would represent a first record for Iowa (UNRECORDED) and should be observed and documented very carefully. Species with two asterisks (**species**) are species that are either ACCIDENTAL, CASUAL, or a rare regular species, and should also be documented. Species with one asterisk (*species) should have some details of the observation provided. *NORTH CENTRAL:* CERRO GORDO COUNTY: 3 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at a Mason City feeder on the 24th. WINNEBAGO COUNTY: 2 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at a Forest City feeder on the 27th. HANCOCK COUNTY: 2 RED CROSSBILLS and a WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL were seen at the Garner Cemetery on the 26th. * * * * *EAST*: LINN COUNTY: 6 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen on the North Linn CBC on the 22nd. *NORTHEAST:* * * CLAYTON COUNTY: 2 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at an Elkader feeder on the 24th. BLACK HAWK COUNTY: 20 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at a Cedar Falls feeder on the 26th. * * *SOUTH CENTRAL:* * * TAYLOR COUNTY: A NORTHERN GOSHAWK was seen on the Taylor County CBC on the 28th. * * *CENTRAL:* * * *POLK COUNTY:* *COMMON REDPOLL and TUNDRA SWAN were seen on the Des Moines CBC on the 22nd. * * * *JASPER COUNTY:* *COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at Sugar Creek on the 22nd.* * * *STORY COUNTY:* *A COMMON REDPOLL was seen in a Roland yard on the 23rd.* * * * * * * *SOUTHWEST:* * * *FREMONT COUNTY:* *A PRAIRIE FALCON was seen *just south of the intersection of 307th Avenue and 150th Street on the 28th.** * * * * *NORTHWEST:* * * *HUMBOLDT COUNTY:* *COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at an Ottosen feeder on the 24th.* * * *SIOUX COUNTY:* *A COMMON REDPOLL was seen at a feeder in Orange City on the 25th.* * * *WOODBURY COUNTY:* *A SNOWY OWL was seen near the Sioux Jersey cattle farm on the 25th.
