Here are a couple pictures of the Long-eared Owl I saw at Cone Marsh. There were at least two of them that I saw. Hopefully it is a nesting pair.
A quick note about Cone Marsh. Jason McCurdy reported four species today (Canada, Snow, Ross's and Greater White-fronted). Upon review of some of my pictures from Friday, I was able to find at least two Cackling Geese. If they are still around that is FIVE species that are most likely at the marsh right now, amazing! On another note, there were not one, but two Glaucous Gull juveniles at Lock and Dam 14. I didn't even realize I got a picture of them together!
