Yesterday on the Winnebago River by the sewage treatment plant I spotted a lone Ross's Goose and some Hooded Mergansers among the usual Canada Geese and Mallards. Then today, an adult Red-shouldered Hawk visited our backyard--so exciting--first one I've seen around here!
