Amana Lily Lake was 80% ice covered today but had enough open water
to attract a number of swans. At the southeast side of the lake were:
2 Adult Mute Swans
30 Trumpeter Swans (uncollared)
1 Tundra Swan (lacking yellow lores)
Last year I ecountered a Mute Swan pair at Amana Lily Lake, Hawkeye WMA,
and Lake Macbride and suspect today's pair to be the same swans.
