Lena and I ventured west and south of Ames today and found Horned and Eared grebes at multiple locales, a White-faced Ibis at Littlefield P., Swainson's Hawks in 5 counties, 2 American Avocets and 6 Marbled Godwits at Dunbar Slough, and a Loggerhead Shrike in Audubon Co. At home I saw single Peregrine Falcon and Merlin over our Ames yard.
