Just drove past the Water hawks Ski team's practice pond off of Hwy 20 near Evansdale, Iowa, BlackHawk County. At least 60 -70 white pelicans on the pond. I observed a smaller group farther west near the Cedar River on some oxbow backwater areas. Sadly, I am off to work so I could not stop to observe further.
