Grammer Grove Wildlife Area, Marshall County:

18 warbler species including:
40 Yellow-rumped Warbler
30 Nashville Warbler
10 Black-and-white Warbler
6  Magnolia Warbler
4  Orange-crowned Warbler
4  Chestnut-sided Warbler
4  Black-throated Green Warbler
3  Blackpoll Warbler
3  Blackburnian Warbler
3  Northern Waterthrush
1  Tennessee Warbler
1  Northern Parula
1  Bay-breasted Warbler
1  Wilson's Warbler

5 Least Flycatcher
1 Blue-headed Vireo
1 Red-breasted Nuthatch
7 Swainson's Thrush
2 Pine Siskin


Rock Creek State Park, Jasper County:
1 American Bittern eating a small snake
1 Forster's Tern
8 Black Terns
1 Orchard Oriole
3 Pine Siskin 

The bittern was seen from the parking lot on the north side of F27 on the
east side of the lake.  

It's hard to believe it's May 13th and the big push of Tennessee Warblers
still hasn't arrived.
