Paddled around and under a few hundred DC Cormorants near flooded Dupont Bridge 
(Greencastle).  Some were nesting, most not.  They formed black silhouettes on 
dead trees at dusk, croaking and grunting.  Staying under leaf canopy seems to 
be the trick for getting close. Dozens of Palm Warblers and few Northern Water 
Thrush were it for warblers.

A high energy little dog tore into a flock of lawn foraging House Sparrows up 
the street.  They hopped up to a low bush while the dog lunged at them.  What I 
found cute was how they just sat perched while sharp little teeth gnashed 
inches below.
