This evening I scoped 4 AMERICAN AVOCETS from the DNR parking lot        along 
Amana Road. They were distant and behind a gap in a line of       resting 
pelicans. Also way out there was a lone BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER.
Pectoral Sandpipers have been by far the most numerous shorebirds at
Hawkeye so variety has suffered.
