This evening, at East Lake in George Wyth State
Park, I decided to check the floating barrier
for terns. We pulled over on the Hwy 218 bridge
which overlooks East Lake where the floating
barrier is visible. I was able to pick out
2 Ad. Least Terns which were with about 25+
other terns, mostly Forster's Terns,several
Common Terns and several Black Terns. The Least
Terns stood out with the smaller size difference.
I called my dad, who called me back to say he saw the
Least Terns and a Caspian Tern for a total of 5 species
of terns! This has been a great spot for terns, but they
usually don't stay long because of all the boat traffic.

Good Birding,
