My observation led me to believe that this bird was easily intimidated by other birds, when a different bird would move closer this bird would chasse to the side to allow more space between them. The second bird would not be showing aggressive behavior toward the LAGU ( just mover near it) but the LAGU would look at the new neighbor and then give up position to stand farther away. Makes me ponder why out of range birds are often on the edge or seperated from groups of similar birds?
