Around the lake this morning there wasn't much new so I went down to Union
Hills. On Cardinal Avenue nine Partridge flew out of the ditch and into a
field. When walking an area to see if Longspurs or sparrows were around,
when I neared the pond, an American Bittern flew up and around to another
area. Alas, I did not find Longspurs and only one lonely Song Sparrow. A
Northern Harrier was flying over a grassy area on my way back home.
