As others have stated, it was a successful morning with the Ross's Gull show
with observers from several states enjoying the pleasure at various times.
At about 10:00 a number of us headed towards the south side of the lake to
look for the Little Gull. Since I was in the back of the string of cars, I
pulled into the marina to scan for a bit and found the Little Gull (third
time is a charm) about halfway across the lake flying towards Whitebreast.
I finally lost the bird and was never able to refind it for the rest of the
group across the lake. There was a candidate but the shimmer prevented a
good look. I just wanted to let those who are still planning a trip over
there that the Little Gull is still out there - somewhere!
