I have relocated the Snowy Owl that Kevin saw this morning. At this moment (5:45) pm it it 1/2 mile east of Balsam (S14) and 1/4 to 1/2 mile north of B43 on a fence post in the middle of the section. No road close by. I thought it was just another plastic shopping bag stuck on a post. Holly cow. While I am typing this it flew a bit farther east on the same fence line to a second Snow Owl. There are two. Both very white. -Bruce McKee Mason City
