While crossing a west branch of Indian Creek at 210 bridge 2 Great Blue Herons
were standing on a small sandbar. Large numbers of waterfowl, primarily Canada
Geese, grazed the fields as Mallards and Wood Ducks stayed near the creek.

Late afternoon on Saturday, 3 FOY Chipping Sparrows, part of a group of Juncos
and Tree Sparrows were on one of the prairie paths.
We were checking the pothole for waterfowl and heard a few Chorus frogs trying
to shake the frost out of their calls.
