Today I was walking with my father in the trail around Gray's lake and while we
were going on the pedestrian bridge my father identified a strange erect figure
separated from the rest of the ducks and next thing you know, BOOM!!! My father
told me it was a Clark's Grebe, and he freaked out. We had a great view of its
long white neck, black cap, and yellow bill. Unfortunately, my father forgot
his expensive hi-res camera, but we still got an awesome view from his binocs.
It was great fun and a very nice day to see it.

Sincerely, Arthur Check's son,
Dean Check
