At the Croton/Shimek and Donnellson unit and in Des Moines County, Dennis
Ertz and I had 17 warblers (transients and nesters). They included
Kentucky, Yellow-breasted Chat (found .1 mile west of the famous Argyle
junkyard).
and male Hooded Warbler (not singing) at the usual location at the
Donnellson unit. A female Summer Tanager was seen where the Chat was and the
Bewick's Wren pair was at the junkyard. We also had 5 Vireo sp. --Warbling,
Blue-headed, Red-eyed, Yellow-throated and White-eyed.
