I added a couple of new yard birds this afternoon - Northern Waterthrush and a female Orchard Oriole. The waterthrush was actually feeding below the feeders. A molting, male Summer Tanager joined the oriole throng at the jelly feeder. Like Bill Scheible, I was oh-fer on pass-through thrushes until a Swainson's broke the streak at the bird bath. Lincoln's and White-crowned Sparrows continue in the yard. I don't have any quantitative proof, but this seems like the most White-crowned's by far I can recall during a spring migration.
