Was worried about Henslows when we got 4 in. of rain on Mon. since they are ground nesters, but heard 3 and saw 2 chasing one another today. Saw a pair of yellow-billed cuckoos foraging together, and 5 second look at a tanager-think it was a female scarlet. Haven’t heard the sedge wrens since the big rain. Found an active grosbeak nest.
