Several years ago, we found an immobile hummer in cold weather. We brought
the bird and the branch it was on inside and placed it in the safety of an
EMPTY chameleon cage made from framed screens. We released it in the
morning in the warmer sunshine and it appeared to be fine.
I know we don't all have empty chameleon cages handy, but I hope that
sparks a few ideas. Especially since it seemed to work.
