A quick trip through Cone Marsh (Louisa County) Saturday was a fun one.
Started with 3 (male) pheasants in a tree, a blue heron and 8 eagles 1
mile West of the marsh. Then had a probable RLHA fly past, but could not
relocate it. Saw several RTHAs and kestrels, didn't look much for water
fowl, found a NOHA on the NE corner N of the train car, prior to that saw
a GHOW in a tree out in the marsh a ways... a kingfisher, a meadowlark and
some of the more common birds. Was suprised to see the meadowlark.
