Today I got twenty duck species in a six hour period. What is so unusual was that they were all seen in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls city limits .The lakes I stopped at were the lakes at George Wyth, Alice, Brinker,Fisher, and the main lake,Big woods lake,Prairie lake,Greenbilt lake and the marshy area across from Menards in Cedar Falls. The only ducks I did,nt get were the tough to get scoters long -tailed duck and cinnamon teal. F.O.B were Red-breasted merganser and cormarants. Good birding, Tom Stone Waterloo --- This mailing list is sponsored by the Iowa Ornithologists' Union.
