Salam, Masyarakat profesi pada umumnya dibentuk untuk melakukan pertukaran pengetahuan suatu bidang pengetahuan ataupun melakukan suatu investigasi pengetahuan lebih lanjut yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Dalam bidang elektro dan terkait, saat ini telah ada seperti IEEE(founded di USA),IEE(Eropa) dan IEICE(Jepang. IEICE (Institute of Electronics,Information and Communications Engineer) dibangun pada bulan Mei 1917 saat ini telah beranggotakan sekitar 37500. Organisasi ini dibagi dalam 5 societies: 1. Engineering Science Society (ESS) 2. Communications Society (CS) 3. Electronics Society (ES) 4. Information and System Society (ISS) 5. Humman Communications Societies (HCG). Seperti pada instusi lain maka bagi overseas ataupun student mendapat discount khusus. Mulai Maret 2004 telah terbentuk Regional Representative untuk Indonesia.
