Related to his suggestion, there is a deployment team on the wiki, and a sugar-devel list. A few questions follow: 1. Should we have a list for each team? Eg. should there also be a sugar-design list, etc.? This might be useful for announcing meetings. Also, having a list in the contact section for each team would make sense. I know that we strive not to split lists unnecessarily, but it seems to me that the team divisions are fairly clear, and it would actually make sense to cross-post when a subject involved several teams. 2. Do we really need to preface the lists with "sugar-"; isn't "@lists.sugarlabs" sufficient enough to indicate context? It seems we might also have [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], etc. All of these relate to sugar, but the prefix seems redundant. - Eben > Thanks, > Marco > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: Morgan Collett <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Wed, Nov 26, 2008 at 9:53 AM > Subject: Re: [sugar] Closing this list > To: Marco Pesenti Gritti <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Cc: Sugar Mailing List <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > > On Wed, Nov 26, 2008 at 10:38, Marco Pesenti Gritti <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote: >> Hello, >> >> as previously announced we have a now an upstream mailing list for Sugar >> development: >> >> http://lists.sugarlabs.org/archive/sugar-devel/ >> >> My suggestion would be to close [EMAIL PROTECTED] and have the few >> distribution specific discussions in [EMAIL PROTECTED] *If* there is >> full consensus we might also consider to copy the subscriber list of >> [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > +1 from me. > > What might help is to "list" the lists in a discoverable place on the > wikis, showing clearly which list is appropriate for what, since we > are getting support questions on iaep etc. > > Regards > Morgan > > > _______________________________________________ > IAEP -- It's An Education Project (not a laptop project!) > [email protected] > http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/iaep > _______________________________________________ IAEP -- It's An Education Project (not a laptop project!)
